WRC2013 Registration: Phase One Finished

Phase One of the WRC2013 entry period has finished.
165 teams (349 participants) from 16 countries have registered by now at the official web site of the 11th World Rogaining Championships 2013: wrc2013.com.
This number is far from reaching the approved limit of 1200 participants. No ballot is required. Starting from today registration continues and all registered teams will be getting invitations to confirm their entries.
The IRF is introducing 3 new categories for WRC2013:
- Men's Ultra Veteran (MUV) — men, all must be 65 years of age or over on the first day of competition
- Women's Ultra Veteran (WUV) — women, all must be 65 years of age or over on the first day of competition
- Mixed Ultra Veteran (XUV) — at least one man and one woman, all must be 65 years of age or over on the first day of competition
Ultra Veteran teams are automatically entered in the Open, Veteran and Super Veteran categories of their gender class.
All teams that are eligible for the Ultra Veterans (65 years & over) category (MUV, WUV & XUV) are considered as Automatic Pre-Qualifying-Entrants. 6 UV teams have registered during Phase One entry period. We expect this number will increase.

Registration for participation in the 11th World Rogaining Championships 2013 has opened!
Phase 1 of the entry period started on December 15, 2012 at 0.00 Moscow time and will last for 14 days.
If your team has Pre-Qualifying status please register during this period. After the end of Phase One such status will no longer be valid.

Registration will open on December 15, 2012 at 0.00 Moscow time.
There will be several new features introduced at the WRC2013.
A limit of 1,200 entrants has been established for WRC2013. It is not expected that this limit is reached during the two-week Phase One entry period and thus the IRF has not compiled a list of Prequalified Entrants (PQEs) for 2013WRC. However, in case of the unlikely situation that this limit of 1,200 entrants is exceed during the Phase One entry period the IRF requests all PQEs entering the event during Phase One to nominate their PQE status. All Pre-Qualifying Entrants wishing to take advantage of their Pre-Qualifying Entrant status must register during this period. After the end of Phase One such status will no longer be valid.
